Promoting Citizenship

We are particularly proud of the high level of interaction that exists between our school and the wider community.  Whenever possible, we strive to support community events and we foster a high level of community involvement.  It is through these initiatives that we foster a sense of “pride of place” in the locality.

Our annual GRANDPARENTS DAY is one of the highlights of the school year.  This is hosted by our sixth class children.

High-Speed Broadband Upgrade – Funded by the EU

We are proud to share that Quay School has been selected as part of a national initiative to enhance digital infrastructure in schools across Ireland. Through the Department of Education’s Schools Broadband Programme, our school has received a high-speed broadband upgrade.

This project was delivered under Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and funded by the European Union through the Recovery and Resilience Facility under NextGenerationEU.

This upgrade will support improved digital learning opportunities for our students and staff, ensuring faster, more reliable internet access for educational tools and platforms.

“This school now has high speed broadband connectivity through the Department of Education School Broadband Programme, delivered as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.”

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the EU in making this possible.
